Graphic Designer / Layout Designer
HILL Uzbekistan, a premium lifestyle magazine, is looking for a graphic designer with 2+ years of experience — someone who loves print layout and knows that a great magazine is built on details.
What you will be doing
- Layout of the HILL Uzbekistan print magazine in line with our guidelines, and prepress preparation
- Creating illustrations and collages of basic complexity (as needed)
- Photo editing and color correction
- Art direction and communication with illustrators and photographers
- Designing cards for Instagram posts and stories
- Developing advertising modules for partners
- Designing merchandise in accordance with the brand book
What we expect
- Confident command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop (Premiere Pro is a plus)
- A strong grasp of typography and layout, with prepress experience
- A portfolio featuring multi-page layouts (magazines, catalogues, books)
- A degree in design (an arts education background is a plus)
You are a good fit if
You are used to working independently, take ownership of your work, and always deliver layouts on time. You know the difference between a hyphen, an en dash, and an em dash, and terms like “thin space” and “non-breaking space” are working tools for you, not empty words. You are ready to read into the text, select imagery yourself, and enrich the story with graphics — rather than creating visuals at random.
